Hey there!
So I've a fun little project. I've created a fan page of photos, characters from House of New Gods. These include quick bios of them, and the slideshow is taped to music. It's all in good fun, for your viewing pleasure, if you so choose to look. If you are not interested in seeing faces, that may go against your own imagination, then by all means, skip this activity. I completely understand that for some, formulating one's own opinion on a character is very personal. For the rest of you, who are excited to peek and gain some extra insight into the characters I hope you love, then have it! Please feel free to message me after. I'd love comments, and feedback. :-)

Love you all!!!
Crossing my fingers to have Golden Age (tentative title) out very soon,

Wow! I can't believe it's been since April of last year that I posted. That is not only lame, on so many levels, but it's just unprofessional. Although, I don't know that I really started this blog for any other purpose besides airing my dirty laundry, opinions, annoyances, work, updates, etc. I've been super busy...is that a defense?
No?
Are you sure?
;-)
Well, then I will say I have been hard at work, writing...nope, nope, that's a lie. I am way behind schedule as we speak. LIAR!!!
I have recently relocated to very sunny, very hot, verrryy hootttt, San Antonio, Texas. I have some love for it, I will admit. Did the tourist thing. Did the zoo. Did the Botanical Gardens. Yep, ate some non-barbecue fare. Mostly, I've been holed up in my abode, with my two little mongrels, that's human boys, for those of you who are dog lovers. I have one of those also. Her name is Baylah, and she is, and I say this with as much love as I can muster, a sloth. I look at her and I wonder, how does one lay in a circle near the base of the wall for countless hours?
I know I couldn't do it.
I ask her, "Would you like to go outside, and maybe potty now?"
She replies, "I would, but, I'm simply too comfortable right here, hairing up your already soiled carpet." The carpet bit belongs to the previous tenants, but that's another sordid story.
As she soaks up some R&R in the livin- room, I torture myself over what project to finish first. I slave over the stove, making hideous meals for the three men in my life, and I know dinner's done when one comes down the stairs shouting, "Mom! What's burning?"
I never said I could cook. No one can do it all! I used to think I could, but, I have learned otherwise in the last year.
Clearly, book deadlines, home-school schedules, candle, salve, lip balm, tincture, and oil making, while standing on my head to finish the laundry have driven me to the edge.
Is there a silver lining you ask?
Sure. That bottle of Jamacian Rum, sitting just out of reach on the very top cupboard is the ticket. And, like many of my fellow SAHM's, I will make the trek (I'm only 5 feet tall), open the bottle, and salvation will come.
Until then, these chapters aren't going to finish themselves. The laundry will not spontaneously fly upstairs and onto the hangers. These monsters won't find sustenance elsewhere, no matter how terrible my cooking actually is. And, I am too much of a perfectionist let things go to pot. That's not what strong ladies do. Strong women, who may still feel like twelve year old girls inside, grab those big girl britches and get it done!

That felt nice, unloading. ;-) Here's my email, in case any of you need to do the same. I'm all ears.
Love,
Shiree
